Luxe Pack 2008 special guests
Ora-Ito, designer, France

Ora-Ito started his career in 1998 and was the talk of the town thanks to his website, in which he presented amazing brand products that had been seemingly made by the best manufacturers: a Vuitton backpack, a Vuitton table football and a Macintosh laptop camouflage bag … though none of these objects had ever been created by their respective brands. However, Internet surfers and newspapers gave his design objects two thumbs up!
The world’s best brands love his simple, fresh and innovative style as well as his bold and self-taught personality.
Stanislassia Klein, founder of the Stella cadente brand, France
Jonathan Ford, creative partner, Pearlfisher, UK
Marc Rosen, designer, Marc Rosen Associates, USA
PDA is an association that brings together more than 70 prestigious international agencies from 17 different countries in order to share
their opinions and experience regarding current design trends.
PDA has chosen Luxe Pack to open its annual congress for luxury and packaging industry professionals. Participants shall therefore have free access to all conferences during this special day.
Exclusive Luxe Pack / IFOP market study
Together with the IFOP, Luxe Pack performed an important international survey involving 2,000 people in France, Italy, Japan and the USA in order to determine the following elements:
Which are the most efficient packaging territories in the luxury industry?
For the first time, this study will provide details on:
- What is a packaging territory?
- How is each packaging territory perceived and described by consumers?
- Which are the packaging territories that consumers tend to associate the most with luxury?
- Which of them do customers prefer?
- What type of packaging? Which market? Which country?
Do not miss the opportunity to hear about the survey's conclusions. It will undoubtedly help you develop efficient marketing and product positioning strategies.
Various attractive exhibitions
1 – Main focus on the luxury packaging of wines and spirits!
« Premium Packaging Luxury Codes » Exhibition
The wines & spirits packaging exhibition shall present the similar and common tools and codes used in all luxury sectors. Let yourself be carried away!
Fragrance Discovery Workshops
You are invited to a fragrance and visual « tasting » session that will introduce you to the world of wines & spirits. 4 different daily workshops will allow you to associate fragrances, colours, raw material and geographical elements with important liqueurs.
Organised by the International Centre of Wines and Liqueurs
2 – Luxury and publicity
New, attractive, stylish, exclusive, environmentally friendly, functional and also ensuring a luxury product position…
These are the requirements that have been set for the 8 publicity campaigns that have been designed by students of the Advertising design section at Salford University.
Each project shall display its corresponding packaging, shopping bag and publicity image.
3- EcomatériO / Sustainable prejudice
By joining the « environmental » trend that has become increasingly important, a certain number of semi-products are claiming to be environmentally friendly. Does this environmental concern extend to their manufacturing process, transport, use and to the end of their product’s lifecycle?
MateriO, a library which gathers information on new manufacturing material, gives us the necessary tools to reflect upon this subject and might make you reconsider your position regarding several types of material.
4 – Market and trends Observer
This Observer reflects the trends observed in the packaging design practices displayed by Luxe Pack’s exhibitors. These trends shall be showcased in the fair and shall be analysed by organising a new and interactive workshop.
Each trend shall be analysed by a member of the Observer and relevant products shall be on display.
